The Salvaged Universe: the Perimeter

Manufactured in 1935, this experimental perimeter is the invention of American Optical, the pioneer scientific instrument manufacturer founded by William Beecher in 1833. The company later changed its names to American Optical during 1869-1982, and known today as Reichert Ophthalmic Instrument.

Luckily, we came across this one, which is still in a very good condition.

No.6: Hype

Solid, raw, and adjustable.

The pivoting joints offer great flexibility and ornamental attributes to the lamp.

The finishing of the style H reflector or shade is in its original gray powder coat, harmonized pretty well with other compositions.

That was another fun piece to work with. See you all very soon.

Cheers!

No.5: Torch

'Torch' is another trouble light-inspired piece. The old-school open bottom protector is used as the shade. Attached to the shade is the metal handle and a pull chain. This shade is fixated to the stand by a cool looking piece of Foster clamp. It's functional as a table lamp, and in the mean time, the shade can be taken of the stand, offering diversity in the usability and decoration.

Cheers.
